Don't water before the rain
The smartest watering is the watering you skip. Knowday watches the next day's forecast and tells you to hold off when rain's on the way — and calls a hard no before a downpour.
Don't water after the rain, either
Nearby rain history shows rain in the last two days; check your soil before watering. Knowday suppresses the watering nudge so you don't double-water from the model alone.
How fast it's drying out
Forecast drying demand rises on hot, windy days, so Knowday can move to Water sooner. Inspect your soil before acting.
How it works
This is an action, not a direct soil readout — Water, Wait, or Check first when the signal's thin. It scores modeled soil moisture, forecast drying demand, and both recent and expected rain, then leans toward saving water when nature's handling it.
Two honest limits: it's all modeled near you, not measured in your yard, and it can't see your sprinkler or rain barrel — this is the lawn's *need*, not a tally of what you've already given it.
