The weather app for getting out on foot

Find the best hour to head out.

Knowday reads the feels-like, the mugginess, and the rain window — then just tells you when today is good for a walk, a hike, or a run.

What matters when you're on foot

The reads that decide a good walk.

The temperature you'll actually feel

Feels-like

Not the number on the thermometer — the feels-like, with humidity and sun folded in. Knowday finds the cooler window so you're not running through the worst of the heat.

The rain window, not just the chance

Dry window

It watches both the odds of rain and whether a real downpour is coming — and points you at the dry stretch, so you head out between the showers, not into them.

The mugginess that wears you down

Sticky

A high dew point is what makes a mild day feel like a slog. Knowday reads it so a "72°" that's actually muggy doesn't surprise you a mile in.

Sun and puddles

UV 6

Peak UV for timing the shade, and recent rain so you know if the trail's still holding puddles. Small reads that decide whether you bring a hat — or different shoes.

How it works

How Knowday thinks about walking.

It scores the feels-like temperature, humidity, dew point, wind, the rain window, UV, and how much rain fell the last couple of days — then surfaces the best hours to be out. It's the forecast read *for being on foot*, not a wall of numbers.

One honest limit: it can flag a likely storm, but not lightning itself, and it doesn't track pollen — if you hear thunder or you're sensitive, factor that in yourself.

Walking is one of fourteen plans Knowday reads — walks and rides, the lawn, the garden, camping, the night sky, and the water.
